inadyn is DynDNS’s command line tool for updating your IP address. Their Help page tells how to get and install it. To get it to run at boot time, follow the steps below:

First, start inadyn:

sudo inadyn &

Next, copy the executable to the local sbin and add a line to the /etc/rc.local file:

sudo cp bin/inadyn /use/local/sbin

sudo nano /etc/rc.local

# add this line:

/usr/local/sbin/inadyn &

# and save the file and quit the editor
